Loch Lomond
Scotland
Single Malt
A satisfying, subtly peated single malt Scotch whisky from Loch Lomond. The distillery is renowned for being able to produce a multitude of whisky styles, including single malt (like the one you see before your eyes right now), single grain and blends. Versatile and talented, those Loch Lomond distillers...
Caramel, oily walnut, a touch of dusty oak smokiness.
Digestive biscuits and ginger snaps. Subtle vegetal notes develop later on.
Diced almond, coffee bean, toasted malt.
Well no one is going to confuse this with a bottle twice the price, but for what it is, it’s a good dram. If you want something cheap and drinkable, this is a great buy. Will it be a standard on my bar? Probably not, but I am not disappointed that I bought a bottle. Would I buy this again for the price? 100% yes. It’s worth a shot.... there nothing really to lose. I’ve had Robbie Burns, and I prefer this. Cant go wrong with either.
I have to say... packaged with an outer Box and sealed with a "cork" cap, it fooled me on presentation... truth is, its priced right.. you are not getting a good scotch for 25 dollars #SorryNotSorry BUT I'd buy again if I was strapped on cash
I'll admit for 25 bucks you can't complain too much.. I would compare it to a lesser quality "Robert Burns"... the smokiness is there but the sour malts flavor tends to take over.. I would buy it if I was REALLY monitoring my spending on alcohol
The flavour is complex, but although it’s initially smooth, you can tell it’s a highland. The light peat is hardly noticeable, and there’s flavours brought in by the heather.
Very light on the palate.
