Single Malt
Loch Lomond
This is an 18 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Loch Lomond distillery in the Highlands region. After spending 18 years maturing in oak, this expression has developed a complex flavour profile featuring red berries, mature oak, vegetal peat and runny honey. Loch Lomond are renowned for being able to produce a variety of styles at their distillery, including malts, grains and blends. Top stuff!
Old oak furniture and tobacco, supported by sweeter notes of honey'd cereal.
Nutty brown bread with a thin layer of blackcurrant jam. Slight smokiness along the way.
Lingering peat - not too strong, but easily noticeable.
$82.59 - $717.38
Everything a great whisky needs to be: fruity, balanced between sweet/dry, complex and smoky enough to taste the peat, but not offend anyone. Very nice, sweet nose, but it really delivers on the palate. Raisin pudding, oak, honey and lingering sweetness. The smoke intensity is 2/10, but I drink Laphroaig and Ledaig, so take this assessment as you please. It is overall a delicious dram, worth trying.
Very underrated Distillery. This 18yo is very much worth the spending. No regret, so sure. Definitely one of the best value for money.
So far my best 18 yrs juice LLomand n very good price too
This is good. It would appeal to people ( like me) who aren’t overly keen on peaty, Smokey whiskey. Tasting notes are spot on. Smoke is there, but not overpowering. The blackcurrant jam note would not have been picked up by me, but having seen it, I agree. Nice drink. Incredible to have it in a glass.
very mellow fruity smell with a hint of honey thick texture almost like honey i was surprised of the taste and it took me off guard of having such a strong and delightful taste considering its mellow smell and again the taste of honey itself is very prevalent
