12-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from Loch Lomond, who are well known for being able to produce a wide variety of styles of whisky in their Highland distillery. This particular expression was made using the distillery's unique straight-neck stills and more traditional swan-neck stills, and aged in a selection of bourbon, refill and recharged American oak casks.
Creamy vanilla, with a touch of freshly baked apple turnover.
Brown sugar and five-spice. Orchard fruit notes continue, with a hint of yellow plum too.
Quite drying with subtle woody smoke, though still sweet with vanilla.

A bit sharp on the first taste. Smoother after the initial sip. Has a sweet finish, but not much peat or smoke. Quite drinkable.
Purchased a bottle while visiting Scotland from Canada. Unable to order anymore! I don’t particularly like whiskey but it’s the best one I have had so far. Hopefully I can find a website that ships to Canada!
What a great find this whisky is! A delightful 12 year old that is fully complex and never disappoints. This one needs to breath in the glass for a few minutes to flourish and release the excessive alcohol and then may require a splash of water, depending on your taste preference. I don’t pick up on the light peat but there is a hint of smoke which mixes wonderful with an oily caramel and spice combination that works beautifully. It’s a fabulous whisky and great value. Don’t store it, drink it!
Too Strong
It's a great whisky in it's own right, but seeing as I picked up a bottle for £31 at my local bottle shop it became a superb whisky. Price shouldn't matter I know but I just wasn't expecting it to be this nice. I get a peppery taste to begin with finished of by a hint of sweet meringue type flavour. Really recommend it, a lovely surprise.
