12-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from Loch Lomond, who are well known for being able to produce a wide variety of styles of whisky in their Highland distillery. This particular expression was made using the distillery's unique straight-neck stills and more traditional swan-neck stills, and aged in a selection of bourbon, refill and recharged American oak casks.
Creamy vanilla, with a touch of freshly baked apple turnover.
Brown sugar and five-spice. Orchard fruit notes continue, with a hint of yellow plum too.
Quite drying with subtle woody smoke, though still sweet with vanilla.

From reading the reviews below it’s clear that many people have formed their opinion quickly after opening. And they’re correct. This dram needs time. It DOES start harsh and thin. After a thorough shaking and breathing it becomes full and sweet. I suggest you put half of it in another bottle, shake them both well and let the spirit wake up for a few days . Then you will have a lovely whisky.
Not very pleasant found to harsh and a little Smokey not my cup of tea
For somebody who is not a connoisseur but enjoys Single Malts I found this to have more than a pleasant taste and was being sold at an excellent price.
Worst excuse for a single malt that I ever had the misfortune of tasting. It appears that Loch Lomond distillery has no quality control. This harsh, taste-less stuff should never have been bottled.
I don't know if other people got a bad batch, but this, in my opinion, is an excellent Scotch. Very nice color. Scent of peach and fruit. Taste is better than the smell. Peaches and cream with vanilla and a hint of fresh oatmeal. It is extremely smooth for a 46%, I've had lower ABV Scotchs that are much more harsh and burn the throat. My dad, who is not a Scotch drinker (he prefers Cognac and brandy) also found this Scotch very good. I do admit, if you prefer a smokier and peatier Scotch, I would not recommend this Scotch. However, as someone that enjoys both whiskey and fruit brandies (such as rakija) this is one of the best liquors I have had.
