Inchmurrin - Batch 1 (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)

    "Honey, orange, Christmas spice?

They'll be on this like white on rice."

Merlin's beard! What have we here? Why it's That Boutique-y Whisky Company's first batch of Inchmurrin single malt Scotch whisky! Distilled at Loch Lomond, the label clearly shows just how they produce so many different styles of whisky at one distillery. Just kidding, it's not really magic, in fact, it's pretty simple really. You see they have different types of stills and erm... use different levels of peat and there are these rectifying heads you see and erm... still necks and erm... look, it's all science... and art... and erm... magic?!

Batch 1 is a release of 543 numbered bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, blended malts, blends and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Rich, honeyed barley, white grape, perhaps even Ribena, sweet orange and demerara.

    Palate

Sensational and spicy! Rich Christmas spices

    Finish

Yummy, cakey, ginger, honey, spicy. Cor, yeah. Long.

    Overall

What kinda witchcraft is this? Oh, it's wizardry you say? That's alright then. Good work chaps.

Reviews for Inchmurrin - Batch 1 (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)

    Wow, wasn't expecting that.

Normally I'd say: Hmmmm, marketing. Hmmm, 50cl bottles. But.... I have to say this is fantastic whisky. A big sherry bomb with lots of orange and a long finish. Great!

    I Have a Dream!

I keep having this dream, or rather a nightmare, where good genuine single malt production is being taken over by the "Marketing Men". Second rate malt is presented in an Art Deco bottle, from a company with a cute name and limiting the volume to 50cl. It's only a dream of course it couldn't really happen. Could it!

    Wow!

Xmas cake flavoured rocket fuel! Exceptionally long to finish rather nice!
