The first batch of Inchfad single malt Scotch whisky here from indie bottlers That Boutique-y Whisky Company! It's another style of whisky from the incredibly adaptable (or magical - we're not 100% sure) Loch Lomond Distillery, boasting a heavily-peated flavour profile. This particular expression was matured for 13 years before the Boutique-y bunch got their mitts on it.
Batch 1 is a release of 2,473 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Nutty malt with a helping of earthy smoke and cigar box. Very slightly fruity, too. Think green apple and apricot.
Another helping of sweet fruit - now sultana and white grape - but still packing peaty intensity.
Dusty oak, chocolate biscuits and a hint of green olive.

It's funky, fruity and smokey. What's not to love?
Not my favorite whisky from my advent calendar.
Really not good
