Smoky, sherried, spectacular single malt here from the Loch Lomond Distillery, bottled up for the Darkness range! This one is a 13 year old Inchfad single malt, which is the name Loch Lomond uses for its heavily peated whisky, and it's been finished in a Pedro Ximénez sherry octave cask, which has helped to impart a fair whack of sherried brilliance. A brilliant combo of peat and sweetness to tuck into here.
Flamed orange peel with a hint of smoky malt carrying on, plus cinnamon sticks and fresh root ginger.
Chocolatey notes begin to take shape on the palate, with soft, savoury hints of new leather and sea salt continue on.
Roasted hazelnuts, chocolate chip cookies, salted butter.
