High Commissioner is a blend of various malt and grain whiskies. It's actually not that bad, with a pretty decent balance of flavour.
A surprisingly smooth blend, and without doubt, a better buy than the likes of Tesco's harsh blend...a real no brainer...
Got a taste in the local shop here in Sweden and was really surprised when they told me the price after. Expected it to be a more expensive bottle. Ended up buying a whole crate of ten bottles for long storage. Perfect whiskey for those days when you want a drink but don't wanna bring out the finer bottles.
The new bottle looks great... but it is too tall to fit in the cupboard!!! Will have to look at supermarket alternative, which is a shame, as we enjoy high commissioner.x
Superb value for money, love the new bottle shape, looks a lot more expensive than it is. Great product I have used for a few years now.
I got a present of High Commissioner and when I went ot give people a drink over the weekend I found out that there was no screw cap attached to the bottle just the seat and a paper disc needless to say it had ruined a good bottle of whisky and I had to throw it out as it was terrible and could not be consumed. So it broke my heart to have to give my cherished Hennesy Cognac instead.
