High Commissioner is a blend of various malt and grain whiskies. It's actually not that bad, with a pretty decent balance of flavour.

This is the only whiskey my local 24-hour garage sells, it's also what my local pub sells you if you ask for the cheapest alcohol they have, and it's also the bottle you're most likely to see poking out from under a sleeping bag in the town centre. It's basically one step up from Meths. And yet, it's really not a bad whiskey. It's a bit harsh, but it's flavourful and, if you've already had half a dozen decent scotches, you're unlikely to really notice that it isn't as good.
We bought a box of 12 bottles for my grandfatherş 100 birthday and tell you what i was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of this cheap blended scotch, smooth and rather sweet, however the finish was of a poor quality but you can't expect much for what is a simple scotch, but certainly i would buy another bottle easily drinkable with a simple drop of water..
As normally i would drink single malt, i find this whisky a pleasant change for a blend whisky , plus an acceptable price . Well done :)
Very smooth
An average whisky that has an odd aftertaste. Reminds me of ASDA's own brand MCKendricks. Bought on a whim and will buy again as a cheap mixing whisky.
