High Commissioner is a blend of various malt and grain whiskies. It's actually not that bad, with a pretty decent balance of flavour.

I was expecting it to be just a basic wiskey. Turns out it has a very nice taste and aroma. Very nice blend.
I was pretty surprised with that. A really pleasant and no bitter aftertaste. Bought it in market in Poland for 36 PLN ( 7,5 quid), which is a bargain.
Quite honestly, I'm usually a bit of a snob. Recently however, my stocks of good whisky have been running low so I decided to buy a bottle of this stuff as a stop-gap to hold out against my prolific appetites. Bugger me this stuff surprised me for the price. Loved it. For 14 pounds, if it were the apocalypse, I'd buy ten of these over three forty-pound whiskys. Genuinely, I would recommend to anyone wanting to start out with whisky, or anyone like me who just needs a stop-gap dram for the lockdown weekends.
Yes smooth for a blended whiskey, found better than a lot of malts I have tried,
Very surprised very nice For one that is normally a Blue Label fan!
