La Maison du Whisky
Scotland
Single Malt
A wonderful bottle of Linkwood single malt, which spent 21 long years in five refill sherry hogsheads. The stunning and colourful presentation box features 'Sans Titre 16.08.14' by Thierry Zdzieblo. This Speysider was produced exclusively for La Maison Du Whisky as part of the Artist Collective, and 1,428 bottles were released at 58% ABV.
Wonderful tropical fruits, especially mango, with creamy vanilla crème brûlée and rice pudding, supported by fragrant cardamom and cinnamon with just a hint of floral rose.
Dark chocolate nougat, a dusting of cocoa and more baking spices, with mango returning alongside burnt vanilla sugar and a pinch of tobacco, with smooth praline and full oaky notes.
A very lengthy finish, with rich jammy red and white fruits, with more tropical fruit sweetness, this time overripe banana, a kick of ginger spice and just a touch of coffee on the end.
