Linkwood 2011 (bottled 2022) Year of the Rabbit (casks 314464/66) - Berry Bros. & Rudd
Distilled in 2011 (which was the year of the rabbit) this whisky was released by Berry Bros. & Rudd to celebrate the 2023 year of the rabbit. This single malt Scotch from Linkwood enjoyed an oloroso finish, bringing touches of red fruit character to the already fruity Speysider. Only 459 bottles were produced, at cask strength, and without added colour or chill filtration.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Dried raisins, apricots, and prunes, with some gorse, and baking spices.
Palate
Sticky malt loaf, with some dried cranberries and sour cherries, along with a touch of tobacco.
Finish
Summer berry compote and warm cinnamon.
