Linkwood 14 Year Old 2006 (cask 802400) - The Single Malts of Scotland
A splendid single cask single malt from Linkwood, distilled in October 2006 and matured for 14 years in a hogshead cask. After this good long rest, the cask was cracked open to release 282 bottles for the independent The Single Malts of Scotland series.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Lemon curd, fresh zest, and toasted almonds, with a warming touch of biscuity spice.
Palate
Roasted nuts, vanilla shortbread, and sugared dried fruits with more sweet lemon and a touch of vegetal grist.
Finish
Nutty oak spices increase with a touch of anise and clove, buttered popcorn and chocolate coated nuts.
