From The Red Cask Co. comes an independently bottled Linkwood single malt Scotch whisky, distilled back in 2008. It was partially matured in a first-fill sherry hogshead, and eventually bottled after 13 years at cask strength in 2021, with 249 bottles produced.
Damson, honeycomb, strong cinnamon and black pepper.
Chocolatey at first, but soon enough, dried fruit notes take control, with more of that cinnamon from the nose.
Nutty barley peeks out from behind prune and Christmas cake notes.
