Table Whisky is a single grain Scotch bottled by Port of Leith Distillery. It's a blend of whisky from Edinburgh neighbours North British, comprised of two-thirds virgin oak matured and one-third sherry cask. It’s very drinkable, reasonably priced, and a good answer to the practice of table wine. The virgin oak adds a fresh, vibrant character and heightens the rich, vanilla notes of the grain.
Raspberry, buttercream, Cinnabon, apple pie, and a little Parma Violet.
Gingerbread, toffee popcorn, red berries, vanilla, oak spice, and pepper.
Rich and creamy.

I loved the idea of a table whisky. Makes me feel like I'm in an old Western! At a recent Burns dinner we hosted, there were a dozen fine Single Malts to savour after the traditional repast, including MoM's truly outstanding GlenAllachie cask strength 10 year old. But, on the table from the start, as an alternative to the wine list, was the Leith Table Whisky. And it stole the show! What an excellent drink this is.
Best enjoyed when mowing the lawn, painting the fence, trimming the hedges. In truth it's my garden-shed whisky, a weekend treat.
Very very very good. Nice to see grain whisky getting some recognition. Who'd have thought?! Praise be.
