Edinburgh's Port of Leith distillery presents another batch of its ongoing blended Scotch whisky, Perpetuity! Inspired by the concept of the infinity bottle, the Leith gang began with a blend of exemplary casks of single grain and single malt Scotch whisky. Each time a batch is bottled, further casks of different whisky are added to the blend, before half of that is bottled for future batches. This process will be repeated again and again, with each batch evolving into an ever more complex blend, assembled from multiple spirits.
Rich layers of toffee, cooked apple, smoked cherries and earthy black tea, with oaken vanilla and just a touch of soft peat smoke.
Sweet notes of toffee apple, fruit crumble, vanilla cream, and plump sultanas, with hints of dark fruit and delicate smoke.
Gentle spices, burnt biscuits, cherry jam, marmalade, a warming touch of cinnamon and nutmeg.
