The Tobermory have steadily been releasing expressions of their peated single malts (under the Ledaig name) that have endured different varieties of Sherry finishes for a good little while - and we love 'em! Here's another addition to the range, which was matured for 13 years and treated to a finishing period in casks that previously held amontillado sherry.
Streaky bacon and honey-roasted ham crisps, honeydew melon, a hint of oak-y spice.
Thick caramel, salty smoke, peppercorn and baked orchard fruits.
A touch of fizzy oak lingers alongside orange peel and menthol.

Deliciously complex, salty sweet/peat mingling meaty pudding!
This is indeed lovely stuff. I seriously think I would choose Ledaig as desert island distillery over any Islay. And I Love everything about Islay. So glad I don’t have to make that choice! The sherry is a great complement to a very smooth high proof caramel deliciousness Ledaig. Fairly priced as well. Kudos and TYVM!
