You may know the Ancient Mariner range more for its rum (and gin, nowadays!), but there's also an Ancient Mariner independent whisky bottling range, featuring this 10 year old Ledaig! Many fingers in many pies, these folks. This peated single malt Scotch whisky was distilled back in 2008 at Tobermory and matured in a single cask for a decade before being bottled at 46.1% ABV.
Damson, Sesame Snaps, toasted oak and a touch of rye heat.
Roasted barley and earthy smoke, balanced by heaps of chocolate and dried fruit.
Punchy peppery spice and some oily malt.
Definitely one for all ledaig fans.Sublime taste and a groovy decanter bottle.It doesn't get better than this.Get it before it's gone
