The Laphroaig PX Cask is made with whisky matured in three types of cask - American oak casks, Quarter casks and the titular Pedro Ximénez casks. This leads to a flavour profile which ties together classic, powerful Laphroaig smoke and wine-like sweetness. It was originally released for Travel Retail.
Thats how i met with smoke. Thats how i met with Pedro Ximénez. So it set the standard really high for other Islay / Smoked / Peated / PX Cask whiskies!

Yum. There is no such thing as fructose. Ignore the hysterical 12 Feb review that warns of intolerance to this non-existent substance.
I'm a big fan of the QC, 15 year old & triple wood. This reminds me of the 10 year old (which isn't my favourite) but with an extra dimension. Absolutely love it. You can get it for £50 in travel retail which makes it an absolute steal. £80-£85 is a touch heavy for it but a Defo must try whisky for any Islay fan.
Currently on offer at Gran Canaria airport for €69 great price for an AMAZING whisky. Love the laphroaig 10 cask strength, this is very similar but with a powerful hit of sweet Pedro. Similar to Bunnahabain Moin Ollorosso. Great buy.
