A rare and contemplative 34-year-old Laphroaig, distilled in 1991, drawn from a refill hogshead, and bottled at a cask strength of 48.3% ABV. This is matured Islay peat — elegant, expressive, and quietly smoky rather than explosive. Only 182 bottles exist.
Wisps of ash and embers, iodine, seaweed, and salted almond. Hints of pineapple, old oak, and candle wax develop with time.
Smoked citrus, lanolin, coastal brine, and a sweet undercurrent of vanilla and herbal honey.
Charcoal smoke, peppered oak, and gentle maritime sweetness.
