This right here is a 15 year old single malt distilled by Laphroaig on Islay and bottled for The Stories of Wind & Wave series by The Character of Islay Whisky Company! The range shows off the deliciousness you'll find on the Inner Hebridean, this is a great example. It was matured in a single refill bourbon barrel for 15 years, and bottled up in some particularly handsome bottles, we will say.
Waxy peels, peppermint leaf and smoky black tea with a touch of baked earth to it.
Sweet smoke with savoury hints of salted butter and cedar underneath, plus stone fruit developing later on.
Polished oak, a touch of ash and continuing fruity elements.
