Reviews for Laphroaig Quarter Cask
Very nice
Smell of ice cream, raisin, salty peat, vanilla, leather, maple. Lots of nutty sweet vanilla in the taste, smoky cherry and a bit of odd cola like taste. Smoke on the end and a bit of salt

Amazing
The first Islay I have had. I have had other scotches but aside from Glenlivet Double Oak Cask. This is my favorite so far of the few I have tried. Will definitely look at other Laphroaig products. I heard the 10 is more pronounced with its smokey, peaty, briney funk. But holy hell I am in love with the Quarter Cask. Absolutely delicious. I am no professional taster but I get the medicinalness with smokey peatyness along with sweet vanilla and oak wood. Still has a nice alcohol burn from the proof. But the very long finish has changed from sweet and salty seaweed to almost meaty like bacon.

rot gut
my father in law and I are amazed at this scotch for the price. it tastes as if one were to light a tire on fire with the hobo still in it and douced the flames with rubbing alcohol. if you are up for an experiment and dont like your money purchase this bottle.
the bright side is watching loved ones faces while trying to stomp down a sip

Timeless, loyal and a real luxury!
Certainly very rewarding, there's no doubt to be held. Oily, firm peated shore, land, storm-at-sea character with a ghostly magic can I can only class as enigmatic. Laphroaig packs a real spectral punch, full-on with the younger bottled, but it mellows with age, it really does. This Christmas, I look forward to a fine Edinburgh 'Thistle' decanter full of 'Quarter Cask.' I always add the gentlest persuasion of a dash of still Highland Spring water, just ever so slightly that is!

Excellent Taste, Great Value
Nose - Mild Smoke, Brine, Wood, Cinnamon, Apples, butterscotch, very faint bacon
Palate - opens with salt and smoke and salt spreads with the wood and pepper flavors, wood scent envelopes the mouth, but the vanilla sweetness is palpable all through out.
Finish - Mouth coating lasting richness that starts off smoky with salt and mellows to the bitter-sweetness of a 72% dark chocolate, with long lasting notes of a mild bacon fat intertwined.
