Langatun's Old Deer Classic Cask Proof Swiss single malt whisky is interestingly matured in an uncommon combination of casks - sherry casks and chardonnay casks! This helps to impart an intense fruit-forward flavour profile, backed up by robust malty notes of cask strength single malt.
Clean malt and fresh vanilla bean. A little bit of fresh apple.
More malt, with orchard fruit and orange peel coming through.
Long and surprisingly mellow for a cask strength whisky.

Even though I prefer peaty whiskies this IS Good . Usually dislike sherried whiskies BUT this is a good combination of the chardonnay and sherry tastes Does not blow your head off but Ooh Tasty . This IS probably the best Langatun have produced
Tasted this at a festival against its peers (deer non cask strength, bear? non cs and cask strength). Best of the bunch but still £30 overpriced. There's better stuff to spend your nearly £70!!!! on.
