Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Vanilla and old pot pourii, leathery peat, passion fruit and star fruit in some exotic cocktail.

Palate That tannic leathery peat followed by stewing tropical fruit with a syrupy mouth-feel.

Finish Coal soot and burnt spice in a swift but wholesome finish.

Overall There’s a lot going on with this dram, that would take an evening in itself to contemplate. Intriguing to unlock!

Best Islay released in 2012???
A friend and I spent some time getting to know this bottle last night. This is a seriously top notch whisky. It pays to give this one time in the glass, and in fact to use a great glass like the Eisch Jeunesse. Tasted properly, this explodes with flavor and depth. Don't guzzle this. It opens up nicely with just a few drops of water.
