A very, very rare ceramic decanter of 15 year old Lagavulin, this was released in the 1980s, and is quite a collectors' piece. In fact, Serge Valentin from WhiskyFun.com rated this with a whopping 94 points - very high indeed for Serge!

Very pungent and full on the nose, big on peat smoke, with a pleasant oaky dryness you get with Lagavulin. Hints of tar, creosote, rubber, then toffee sweetness and hints of fruit.
Lots of wood influence, aniseed, then dry ropes, lots of fruit, citrus, marmalade, hints of the coast, smoked meats. Very rich.
A very long and full-bodied finish with plenty of wood oil, then mixed fruits, peat, smoke.
