    Ladyburn 1973 (cask 1590)

Just 3,000 bottles were released, a 27 year old, single cask edition, distilled in 1973 at the now closed Ladyburn distillery.

This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed info and/or photos just get in touch!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is quite light and dry with notes of heather roots, a touch of wood, waxy honeysuckle and blossom. There is a delicate barley sweetness. The palate is quite dry and of medium-body. There is a hint of zesty citrus with honeyed sweetness, a touch of spice and pepper with a pungent honeycomb waxiness. The oak develops with dryness and chewy tannins. The finish is long, with a touch of acacia honey sweetness and dry peppery oak.

Light, dry and unpretentious. Maybe rated 88/89. I recived two bottles as a gift. One I opened and the other will go into my collection of fine, old, rare scotch.
