Label 5
Blended
Label 5 Classic Black, is a very well known (particularly in France) blended Scotch whisky, made with a hearty helping of fruity Speyside malts at its core. A great value blend.
Rather sweet with vanilla and sticky toffee pudding. Hints of ginger and cinnamon.
Apples, pears and a subtle grassy note or two. A little citrus and caramel.
A clean finish with lemon zest and brown sugar.
A pleasant, relaxing drink, smooth and without pretension. Simple, really good.
Paid £17 for a litre bottle. Bargain. Easy to take, not harsh, dosnt grip you by the throat. Just a pleasant bargain blend.
Totally hands down good whisky perhaps a little better than ballantines. Price wise it's a Bang for your buck.
Bought at €9.99 on a whim, good workhorse so pleasantly surprised. There is a hint of grain but generally smooth, rounded and likeable - no worse than a Cardhu IMHO - wouldn't over-tipple on it though.
Paid £17 for a litre bargain and great tasty budget whisky.
