Label 5
Blended
Label 5 Classic Black, is a very well known (particularly in France) blended Scotch whisky, made with a hearty helping of fruity Speyside malts at its core. A great value blend.
Rather sweet with vanilla and sticky toffee pudding. Hints of ginger and cinnamon.
Apples, pears and a subtle grassy note or two. A little citrus and caramel.
A clean finish with lemon zest and brown sugar.
a splendid little blended scotch, quite surprised as the price would indicate a fairly low standard drink. This is a slightly sweeter type whisky, with stronger malt aroma. Would recommend this, a bargain and not too bad....
I've had this as a present & since bought it for myself. As a blended relatively cheap whisky it surpasses its low price in flavour & smoothness & I prefer it 100% to the Bells, Grouse etc on the same price level. Reminds me a lot of The Balvennie, which is much more expensive. An excellent value whisky that stands out.
In my opinion this whiskey is the best blended whiskey on the market. I am months short of my 80th birthday and whilst not professing to be a an expert,I stand firmly behind my opening comment. Superb blend puts "favourites " to shame.
It one the best blended whisky i have tried, IMO it is superior to the likes of Bells, Flying Grouse. It is more of a single malt.
For a 50 year old half Scottish man, who was brought up on whiskey, that enjoys nothing but a single malt, and has tried multiple blended whiskey’s, this one was certainly the best, with a dash of ginger wine or lemonade
