Kyrö Oloroso Malt Rye Whisky
The gang at Kyrö Distillery Company in Finland has been busy experimenting with cask finishes. Made from 100% Finnish malted wholegrain rye, this expression demonstrates what a perfect match rye and oloroso sherry make! Matured in a combo of oloroso sherry, new American oak, and bourbon barrels, the sherry cask has imparted mellow layers of sweet dried fruits and candied nuts to the peppery rye at its core.

Nose
Dates, sultanas, and prunes, with toasted nuts and trickles of caramel.

Honeyed rye bread leads the way, joined by raisins and chocolate-coated nuts.
