Introduced in the latter half of 2014, the 18 year old anCnoc single malt Scotch whisky from the Knockdhu distillery was matured in a combination of European oak ex-Sherry and American oak ex-bourbon casks. Following maturation, this handsome Highland whisky is bottled without chill-filtration or additional colour.
Unrefined sugar and satisfying raw honey with blood orange and satsuma segments. Cocoa and leather depth too.
Honeyed and spiced. Full bodied. Toffees but also lemon, gooseberry, and fig rolls. Some chocolate and liquorice.
A long finish with warming, quality sherried spice.

Stellar. The best kept secret in Scotland? E
So Much More than a McCallan 18 yo and half the price Black Pepper initial hit, then the Black fruits hit in ! complex A work of art !
Bought this at the distillery in July opened it last night excellent start to the night full of gentle spice and fruit. Would recommend this to anyone.
What a great find! To discover a new whisky that is smooth and very flavorful has been a revelation. This is hard to find but worth the effort. Would rate it with a Macallan 18 at a third the price.
Definitely a great, complex whisky. Full of taste but balanced. In my opinion better than the anCnoc 24.
