One of two bottlings released to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Knockdhu Distillery, anCnoc 16 Year Old Cask Strength was matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks and bottled at a cask strength 56.3% with an outturn of 500 bottles.
The packaging, which includes a celebratory copper lid, was designed to tell a story about the distillery’s heritage.
Vanilla ice cream, orchard fruit and nutmeg, with butterscotch and coconut husk underneath.
Black peppercorn and ginger root bring warmth and spice which is tempered by soft toffee, creamy vanilla and apple crumble.
Sweet cereals and milk chocolate linger.
