Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 1996

Originally released for the Travel Retail market, the Kininvie 17 Year Old 1996 was one of the first opportunities UK whisky enthusiasts had to taste single malt from the small, somewhat overlooked Speyside-based distillery.
Honey, orange peel, meaty malt and a touch of white grape.
Floral barley arrives first, shortly followed by a kick of nutmeg and black pepper. Still well-rounded with thick waves of honey.
Lingering charred oak and a few raisins.

Great whisky, smooth taste but with plenty of flavours on the palette. Unfortunately difficult to get hold of anymore
Delicious whisky. Hidden gem and hard to find nowadays.
