This Kilkerran single malt was distilled over at Glengyle back in May 2004, and after 10 years of maturation it was moved over into a single refill bourbon hogshead for another five years. It was bottled in September 2019 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the opening of the Glengyle Distillery. Only 324 bottles were released at 53.1% ABV.
Dried apricot and berry jam, with almond ice cream and slightly burnt brown sugar, followed by floral oak and a touch of peat.
Orange marmalade (with the peel), a whisper of smoke, banoffee pie and chocolate-covered honeycomb, and caramel digestive biscuits.
Smooth, aromatic peat smoke alongside salted caramel and crème pâtissière.
