Kavalan's Solist range boasts a selection of fantastic Taiwanese single malt whiskies bottled at cask strength. This particular release was drawn from a Port cask, resulting in a richly rosy hue and a huge blast of juicy red fruit notes.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Peppery at first. Thick layers of Port sweetness develop, with a light hint of vanilla-rich malt at the centre.
Palate
Citrus zests, brown sugar, sloe berries, a touch of sugary shortbread with raisins in the dough.
Finish
Citrus forward. Caramel and fizzy strawberry laces.
