From Taiwan comes Kavalan Distillery Select, a single malt celebrating the craftsmanship of Master Blender Ian Chang. It's been aged in refill casks and boasts all the fruity hallmarks of a classic Kavalan. This will certainly be a winner in whisky cocktails.
Sweet aromas of tropical fruit, namely mango and banana, buttery caramel with a floral undertone.
Rich oak and warming vanilla, mellow lavender honey notes and orchard fruits.
Lingering stewed fruit, butterscotch and more vanilla.
It’s simple and easy to drink. Designed to mix but I’m surprised by how much I’m enjoying it neat. A perfect summertime whisky.
12-15 sec after tasting there’s a sour, funky finish. But the mouthfeel is rich and complex. I’m loving it but... $ ... overpriced.
First try with Kavakan, and it’s a good experience. Simple flavors throughout, and a strong liqueur finish. Like a Werthers.
