This 10-year-old single malt was part of Jura's core range through the 2000s and 2010s, before it underwent a revamp in 2018. A nice find for a retro collection or a nostalgic tasting.

For a cheaper malt I think this is excellent. With a touch of water the smell is like oily wood, it's not a complex taste but still enjoyable never the less. Reasonably smooth on the throat and with a pleasant after taste. Very rare do I have just the one.
I think if you're used to blended whisky, this might be a good place to start. It is not as peaty as most Islay malts (except Bunnahavin), nor does it have the iodine (medicinal) aftertaste but is more full-bodied than a Highlander. Very very quaffable.
In the absence of nothing else, you could drink it. To me, a shallow and bitter dram.
Cracked this months ago and now it sits there waiting for my unsuspecting in-laws who threaten to outstay their welcome. Never again.
Don't know about all the negative reviews. Especially the ones comparing this whisky to diesel and rubber. There is nothing diesely and rubbery about this scotch at all. Its not even smoky or peaty. Being from Islands, this whisky tastes more like a Speyside/Highland sort. Its very light, sweet, crisp and fruity. Not perfect in terms of complexity, but hey - for the £25-30 you would pay for this beauty, its a steal. And for the money its absolutely brilliant little dram and a great all rounder. Excellent buy.
