From the cracking J.P. Wiser's range comes the 10 Year Old Triple Barrel whisky! This expression, made with a combo of rye and corn whiskies, has been aged in three types of cask (hence the name) – bourbon casks, virgin oak casks, and refill Canadian whisky casks. It's a well-balanced spirit, with creamy sweetness meeting warming spice, alongside touches of zesty fruit.
Honeycomb, freshly baked bread, melon, a hint of dry oak.
Buttered corn, toffee pennies, nutmeg and five spice, lemon pith.
Lasting sweetness of corn and caramel.

Drank neat. It is a smooth whisky, without being too light on flavor. It goes down with a flavor of sweet toffee with a hint of oak complimented by a medium length finish of caramel and spice. Those who enjoy a smooth Irish whisky will find this welcoming, but it is not very complex. For the price (I paid $33CAD) it will be a bottle I always keep on the shelf. The product to value ratio is what brings this from a 4 to a 5 star to me.
Smooth stunning want more will be buying more price underpriced no cross that statement well worth it loved it
I was surprised how good Wiser's 10 year old whiskey is. I have now had two bottles and just picked up my third. It is best to drink it neat, although my neighbor likes an ice cube with his. Its not overly complex but for a Canadian whiskey it is very good.
Pleasantly surprised. Initially a little thin but once I added a few drops of water the sweetness and spice came to play. Budget Canadian whisky is usually rather bland but this has a surprising amount of character. Good finish as well.
