Johnnie Walker
Scotland
Blended
A limited edition whisky from Johnnie Walker, inspired by the absurdly popular television programme, Game of Thrones (in turn based off of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire book series). Created by whisky specialist George Harper and his team, this whisky features malts from Clynelish (aptly one of the most northern Scotch whisky distilleries) and Cardhu, among others. The bottle has a temperature-sensitive graphic that will spell out the words “Winter is here” when it's at the right temperature for serving.
Soft hints of orange Fruit Pastilles and dried apricot. Toffee, vanilla pod and ginger snaps.
More vanilla again, this time paired with cinnamon and almond. Hints of fresh cherry and cut oak heat.
Lingering peppery malt and festive spices.
£6.67 - £64.95
I wish this was not a limited edition. Johnnie Walkers are the only blended scotches I drink. I like all of them (some better than others), and I think this is a nice addition to the line up. I like White Walker better than some highly rated single malts.
I bought this primarily because it's a GoT limited and the bottle looks cool. But also because it's a Johnny Walker and it shoould be good. Right? No! It tasted like something much, much cheaper. I tried it at room temperature first. I then froze it and the taste got even worse. I paid somewhere around $50, but it's not even worth half. Johnnie Walker should know better. It's still a cool bottle and now i have something to mix with coke.
I really dislike cheap blended whisky and this is as harsh as mouth wash! I’ll be honest, I absolutely love it! But as cheap as possible and then you won’t be disappointed. Best served with ice cube for my pallet. 4 stars if you payed £25 and drop a star for £30 as there’s better out there. Would I buy another bottle? Yes!
Really good blend and taste amazing, only real whisky drinkers would know ??
Fabulous whisky, ignore bad reviews!
