Johnnie Walker
Scotland
Blended

King George V is a very special edition from Johnnie Walker, packaged beautifully and made to celebrate the Royal Warrant bestowed upon the company by the monarch. This is made with some of Johnnie Walker's rarest stocks, including Cardhu, Lochnagar and even Port Ellen.
Rich, spicy aromas with hints of Christmas pudding, brandy butter and vanilla. Slightly nutty too, with notes of ground almond and blossom.
Fruity, creamy palate entry. Creamy notes of caramel, manuka honey and a hint of very refined wood smoke. Allspice and nutmeg develop.
Nutty finish with a surge of salt caramel and biscuity malt.

Absolutely beautiful.
This is a fantastic whiskey, bought a double on my wedding day in a top London hotel, highly recommended!
As a long time JW purveyor, this tasting has been a long time in the making so I finally took the plunge and am glad I did. While relatively pricey, this is a refined treat of velvet-silk which I am glad to have tasted. I will keep this bottle as long as possible. :)
I had the very memorable pleasure of savouring a glass of this at a special Johnnie Walker XR21 event in mid-2016 (the XR21 was free-flow, the King George V was but one glass... generously poured, happily). I've had a lot of special whiskies over the years -- single-cask bottlings, limited editions, some 40- and 50-year-olds... but I genuinely don't think any single glass of whisky has left quite the impression on me as this one did. Rich, creamy, multidimensional, beautifully balanced -- a genuinely sublime whisky of stunning character and depth. This is a whisky to be absolutely reveled in. Eyes closed, the world blocked out. One day, I will take the plunge and lay down the cash for a bottle of King George V and never regret the purchase, though it's admittedly a significant plunge to take. You would expect a masterpiece at this price point -- and you'll get it.
It is very costly
