Johnnie Walker Platinum used to sit between Gold and Blue in the extensive range of blends, carrying an impressive 18-year-old age statement.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Sweet rich and deep notes with maraschino cherries, toffee caramel, vanilla, baked rhubarb crumble and a very thin whiff of smoke.
The richness continues onto the palate, which is sweet and warming, with creamy malt, oats and cereal. A spicy vanilla cinnamon dusting too with the gentle smoke again developing.
Dark chocolate with caramalised peel.
Another pleasing blend from Johnnie Walker, this is quite different from the gold label.

I was a blue fan but at 2 bills a bottle not always feasible..tried the platinum and an hooked..on my 3rd bottle smooth and easy drinking
good drink. repeatable. patiala peg on the rocks is highly recommended
best time I ever I had
this is a really nice scotch. The biggest problem is that it's too easy to drink! It has such a clean finish and while being very smooth and easy to drink, it has just enough character so that it doesn't feel like drinking a generic drop.
tried it for the first time today . normally into single malts , but this one was impressive , very smooth no burn and had a nice nose to it .. would def buy a bottle for the home bar
