A 1970s bottling of Johnnie Walker Black Label. Very collectible for whisky enthusiasts, and an unusually sized bottle too.

I have a bottle unopened 1977 1 litre Extra special Johnny Walker black label bought in Malta Has it any value
I opened it on a whisky tasting night. It blew everyone away. Such an interesting and complex taste. Definitely one to open not to sell. If you're interested in just the bottle I now have an empty lying around
Totally and I mean TOTALLY better when at 43%Alc/Vol. My bottle is probably just before the dilution to 40%Alc/Vol. Probably the biggest mainstream marketing mistake made by a behemoth in some years. I suppose, when a business has it's customer base, it can dictate terms. Unhappy punter ?... there are plenty more where they came from, PLUS - 'the new generation won't know what it tasted like', ha ha!
I have one unopened and identical apart from no 70cl on the label. Not sure if to sell it, keep it or open it on my 60th birthday in a couple of years!
I have one on hand and unopened on my collection. If it's very collectible then im Lucky!
