Johnnie Walker
Scotland
Blended
Johnnie Walker 18 Year Old (or "Aged 18 Years") is a terrific blended Scotch whisky from the world-famous range, which features a combination of up to 18 different whiskies, including the likes of Cardhu, Glen Elgin, Auchroisk and Blair Athol, among others. Carefully created by master blender Jim Beveridge, this expression packs bags of creamy vanilla, vibrant fruit and runny honey, alongside soft wisps of smoke. Back in the days of yore and yonder, this was known as Johnnie Walker Platinum Label.
Honeyed cereals, Cadbury's Fruit and Nut, distant bonfire smoke, clementine and spring blossom.
Peanut brittle, candied peels, plump sultana, a whisper of floral malt gives it an aromatic mid-palate, before giving way to a whisper of dry, earthy smoke.
Another wave of honey, with a soft hint of cinnamon spiciness.
Johnny Walker's very best.
Yup. This has the 'evaporates in your mouth' quality of the Blue Label, but—for me, at least—more depth of flavour and a more lingering finish. Love it.
Great
Guys, I got one of these bottles from the Taipei Terminal 2 duty free for 50 euro for a 1 litre bottle. Absolute bargain of the century. Very, very smooth. Good mouthfeel, a bit oily (which is what i like). I hardly taste the smoke. Rich, sweet and fragrant. Reminds me of Clynelish 14 but smoother. It just goes down so easily. You can finish half a bottle in an instant. Lovely !
Very nice taste
