Johnnie Walker
Scotland
Blended
Johnnie Walker 18 Year Old (or "Aged 18 Years") is a terrific blended Scotch whisky from the world-famous range, which features a combination of up to 18 different whiskies, including the likes of Cardhu, Glen Elgin, Auchroisk and Blair Athol, among others. Carefully created by master blender Jim Beveridge, this expression packs bags of creamy vanilla, vibrant fruit and runny honey, alongside soft wisps of smoke. Back in the days of yore and yonder, this was known as Johnnie Walker Platinum Label.
Honeyed cereals, Cadbury's Fruit and Nut, distant bonfire smoke, clementine and spring blossom.
Peanut brittle, candied peels, plump sultana, a whisper of floral malt gives it an aromatic mid-palate, before giving way to a whisper of dry, earthy smoke.
Another wave of honey, with a soft hint of cinnamon spiciness.

nice vanilla and sweet fruit, lovely spice in the middle, soft puffs of smoke.
A very pleasant and easy to drink scotch. You dont have to be in any particular "mood" to enjoy this. Smooth. Feels lime summer. The first taste seem abit ordinary, not complex and doesnt reflect its 18 year old age. But definitely no unpleasantness like some cheap whiskies. A few more dram and the evening gets alot better. You will start to appreciate its sweetness, vanilla, and tangerin taste. It has a very light hint of smoke at the finish, which makes it interesthing. Not the drink for that special occasion, but a good quality everyday drink.
18 years, 18 blends, if you don't like this your not drinking for the enjoyment of what this scotch was blended for. Definitely worth the wait!!
Very plain taste, flavourless. Even worst than Red Label. Don't waste you money just go for Black Label 12 years or Double Black which are million time better.
