This is the second release in the John Walker & Sons Private Collection, a series of releases using the extensive Johnnie Walker stocks to create exciting, expressive blends. For the 2015 edition, they gave the spotlight to the "Rare Fruit Character" of the Johnnie Walker range. To make it, they used whisky from 29 specially selected casks - 8,888 bottles were produced.

Grilled pineapple, apricot and green apple slices. Toffee-drizzled peach and vanilla fudge. A touch of smoke - just a little bit, but it's clearly recognisable.
Baked apple and pear, fresh vanilla, a hint of sticky caramelised sugar and honey.
Rather long with stewed fruits and wafts of smoke.
