Johnnie Walker
Scotland
Blended
An exclusive bottling created in memory of the founder of Johnnie Walker, John Walker himself. The whisky, which follows the heritage of the Blue Label and the King George V, is crafted from specially selected casks to create a whisky as close to the 19th century style as possible. The decanter is presented in a lacquered cabinet that took sixty hours to make.
The aroma is surprisingly fresh, considering the age of some of the whisky used to make it, with bright citrus notes. The palate displays rich fruit and sweet vanilla notes with a honeyed character emerging. The finish is simply astoundingly long with fruit and spice waltzing to the very end.
I got bottle number 19. I'll open it on my daughter's wedding day. She's currently 18 months old.
I had the pleasure of sharing two one-once sips at Disneyland's private Club 33 on the second floor above the pirates of the Caribbean ride. Yes you read this right- Disneyland! the happiest place on earth. The shots were $300 an ounce. The smooth rich flavor was beyond any whiskey or scotch I have ever tasted. If I had a real life budget for this delicacy it would be all I would drink.
I actually bought this bottle by mistake while in Japan. I miscalculated the Yen to the Dollar ratio after drinking for some 30 hours. I opened it when I bought my last house. It is simply the best scotch in the world. I will buy another one shortly when this one is done. Worth every dollar and yen.
I don't drink Whiskey, however I was in a liquor store and saw this particular bottle and decided I needed to buy it for the bottle alone. You see I am a collector of Chanel bottles and I think the cube shape is the best invention, as one does not find it in nature. However when I heard the price I realised a Giant Chanel Factice (Dummy) bottle would still be in my price range. Congratulations to the designer of the bottle. Jeanette
it was better than sex, as far as I can remember
