Not bad for the price

This isn't supposed to be a Macallan 18. For $27, it's a decent budget buy. Ignore the hipsters and snobs, and go in with an open mind. Not a great scotch by any means, but you get what you pay for.

Don't listen to the idiots down bellow.

This is a Scotch that competes with the lower end market. Red Label, it is what it is: An entry level Scotch that makes no bold claims. It offers an entry into Scotch for the mixers and the people who're price-conscious. I would buy this for a mixer. It's an okay sipper if you're desperate and low on money. But it still beats Jack and Gentleman Jack in the behind.

On the rocks?

The fact that many of the reviewers here state they have to drink this on the rocks tells you this is not a good scotch. Anyone with basic knowledge of scotch knows that ice should never ever be used in a "good" scotch. If you want to drink a reasonably price JW - then do with Double Black.

I purchased (2)Bottles for some reason it tasted like it was scorched I have drank red for years but this you can't drink I bought this on a carnival cruise I don't know if I will buy again Grouse is better scotch
