Blended
Scotland
Johnnie Walker Red Label Whisky was created 1909 and is a classic blended whisky, a great mixer and back bar favourite.
A surprisingly rich, aromatic nose with heather honey, mixed peels, soft smoke and rum spice.
Cedar wood, oak and butterscotch, aniseed, Christmas cake and malt.
Long, spiced nose with smoke on the tail.

Bought a small bottle as novice whisky 'connaisseur', for reference to other whiskies in my collection. This Red Label is not complex at all, its simple taste disappkoints me. No specific flavours or smell at all, just a balanced warm feeling. Now I understand what a Coke-whisky is.
This is not complex, it doesn't have any aroma, smell and has a boring taste. Mix it somehow with cola or something else you like. This is a whisky to drink and get drunk, it is for those who want to taste it in small sips, sit around with friends, discuss it or trying to have a whisky meeting. It is ok for the money- costs not that much indeed. You are not buying this whisky for yourself I suppose, it is just to give it to those who want to make you company and need to have a drink served somehow.
it's ok straight. it's nice with ice. i'm mixing it with coke right now and posting about it just to piss off these elitist alcoholics who need to find a better hobby that doesn't make them sound like pretentious knob ends. i spent 20 bucks and it tastes nice and makes me tingly. they'll spend 50 bucks and it will taste nice and make them tingly. the extra money allows them to condescendingly complain on the internet. choose your own purchase accordingly.
And buy JW Black. One of the best value blends out there and streets ahead of this. This is made for mixing and nothing else.
I feel like it tastes like a cheap tequila. I was totally caught off guard by the taste.
