Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year Old

Johnnie Walker Green Label is a blended malt made entirely with single malts from the four corners of Scotland and aged for at least 15 years. It's one of the best bargains in Scotch whisky and a favourite among bartenders.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

The nose is quite rich and full. There are notes of mochaccino and espresso coffee, wood smoke and a fireplace, as well as a touch of bitter chocolate and oak.

    Palate

The palate has a medium-body with notes of crisp cereals, coffee beans and chocolate, a date note with a touch of walnut.

    Finish

The finish is quite long and spicy with honeyed sweetness and oak.

    Wonderful Rich 2015 Edition

I'm giving this a rating of 10 stars as there is no 9.5 rating and it really does deserve it. This edition is just terrific, I picked up a bottle and drank from it two nights in a row... went back to get more and they had sold out on the day I bought it apparently. Now where do I get more? It's really great on the nose, the flavor develops with just wonderful balance and everything you could expect from a whisky. And it is so much cheaper than what I normally drink. When I pick it up I thought what's the harm it's only a bottle of Johnnie Walker, but it's so much more, how is something like this in a Johnnie Walker line up? As to the guy that prefers black label, which is just average, staggers me. This is no ordinary whisky and I love tasting whisky.

I try but the Black Label taste better than the Green Label

found the old one in a small liquor store in my city

I live in Florida and never tried the original Green label I got into drinking scotch after got discontinued. I was happy to see it coming back into U.S market this year in 2015. It's readily available in many places for around $60 but it's the new version and I'm enjoying it very much also stock piling for future you never know. Well back to my main point after almost giving up on finding the original pre 2011 version even searching internet and international pages, to my surprise there was one bottle left in a back storage overlooked in my local liquor store. I was so excited I bought it right away:) for a normal price. crappy thing is now I have to wait for a special occasion to taste it:)cheers
