Following their 'Edited' release, Bold is a fully peated single malt from Paul Distilleries (they're aptly named expressions). Peat is brought over to Goa from Islay for Bold, where it is used to dry their 6-row Indian barley.
Fragrant toasted barley, dried grass, a little kipper smoke, citrus peels, green apple and brown sugar.
Honeyed oak and fruity coffee with that Islay peat again making its character gently known. Spicy porridge, lime and dry toast.
Peaty, peppered oak.

Smoothest whiskey ive ever tasted thank you
Hi, well, I enjoyed Paul John Bold along with a Cigar and had a great time savouring the taste and flavours of this medium dry, not so boldly peated malt. Great peppery spice flavour with hint of dried grass is what comes to mind that gets pronounced on sipping after resting it with single cube of melted ice. Works pleasantly on senses when paired with a medium bodied Maduro wrapped Cigar. Had a great time..!! Try it out...
Beautiful amber color. A medium dry whiskey with hints of chocolate toffee and tobacco. The finish is dryer with some smokey tarish tones
Spot on with the Port Charlotte comparison. Has a heavy citrus hit with earthy peat. A little bit of espresso, more fruityness. Very good stuff, but missed "great". Somehow it's just not well integrated enough for me. The peat, the sweetness, and the spirit all seem to do their parts, but don't really come together. An opportunity missed, if I were to be harsh. Within the category, Amrut peated is waay more sophisticated in my opinion. Still a solid 7/10
Really it's a master of malt what a mind blowing smokey it will leave behind to all single malt of Indian and imported l never tasted this type of taste
