Produced at the Midleton Distillery, Jameson is Ireland's quintessential Irish blend – a classic whiskey. Jim Murray even awarded it an incredible 95 points!
A full and floral nose leads with the smooth sweetness of marmalade and fudge before a hint of Madeira and a little cut grass note emerge.
Thick and of good body with notes of orchard fruits, both fresh and cooked with a little vanilla cream.
Medium-length with spice and honey.
Overrated whisky tastes like turpentine. Not nice one the nose and no real taste or complexity to it wouldn't recommend
I think is smooth enough Nice light ending and not much spice so i think good whiskey but u prefer much more burbone ???
I have a lot of catching up to do with drinking this whisky, it is smooth I drink it with ice and I love it.
It's a quality whiskey at an entry level price point. To my mind, it's the best mainstream "cheap" whiskey out there, particularly for anyone that's just starting into whiskey and a great benchmark to measure against any whiskies you're trying that are 5-20 quid more expensive. You'll likely find plenty you enjoy more than this over time but it's a brilliant one to start off on when you're still figuring out what exactly you're looking for in a whiskey. And even then, when you can occasionally pick up a jameson on sale for about 20 euro or so you'll still probably go back. And for people that don't really love the taste of whiskey it goes very well with ginger ale and a wedge of lime.
Its not that this is not my thing, but this really is bad. No real flavour, nothing special on the nose. I really enjoyed Jamesons stout edition so was hoping for more. Very dissapointed.
